Second Lieutenant Harry Clay Williams, Battery B, 309th Field Artillery Regiment, 78th Division, U.S. Army, died on November 6, 1918 in Base Hospital #8 in Savany, France, as a result of septicemia from an infected wound. He is buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery in Fere-en-Tardenois, France.
