James Henderson Blount
Major James Henderson Blount, U.S. Army, died of injuries on October 7, 1918, twenty-eight years after his graduation from Columbia Law School. Blount, who was also known as James Henderson Blount, Jr., had served militarily in Cuba and in the Philippine-American War. He was the son of the Georgia congressman, James Henderson Blount, who led the congressional investigation into the US Marine's overthrow of Queen Liliuokalani of Hawaii. J.H. Blount, Jr. was active in the anti-imperialism movement in the United States in the late nineteenth and early 20th centuries.
