Carlos Dámaso Siegert Wuppermann
Sergeant Carlos Dámaso Siegert Wuppermann, U.S. Army, died in the line of duty with the Army of Occupation at Trier, Germany. He was a professional actor, poet, writer and playwright and while at Columbia, a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, the managing editor of the Columbia Monthly and a member of the Peithologian Society. His youngest brother was Frank Morgan, the "Wizard of Oz," and an elder brother, actor Ralph Morgan, co-founded the Screen Actors Guild in 1933. Carlos is buried under a large white marble cross at The Green-wood Cemetery in Brooklyn NY, with Frank, Ralph and other family members in the Hancox/Wuppermann plot, lot 14447, Section 168.
