Ensign Clement Lloyd Cassell was killed by a radio controlled bomb aboard the

U.S.S. LST 282 off the coast of southern France on 8/15/1944.  Clement's body

was never recovered and he is listed among the tablet of the missing memorial

at Rhone American Cemetery, Draguignan, France.
