Irving J. Pinkus
First Lieutenant Irving Pinkus, U.S. Army Medical Corps, died on August 30, 1918, of wounds received that day while caring for his regiment. He served as a medical officer, first with the British Expeditionary Forces in France and later with the 14th Field Ambulance on the Italian Front. He was buried at Bagneux Military Cemetery, Gezincourt, France, with full military honors. He had studied chemistry at Columbia and then completed his study at Bellevue Medical College of New York University.
