First Lieutenant John Giraud Agar Jr., U.S. Army, died October 20, 1918, one day following an airplane accident in France while on squad patrol on the St. Mihiel Front. Lieutenant Agar had trained at the Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Flying School and later was sent to the Issoudun Training School in France. He was attached to the 22nd Aero Squad, 1st Division. He is buried in the Suresnes American Cemetery in France near Paris.
